Systems Analyst

Location: Remote

Duration: 5+ month contract to hire

Primary Work meetings: 10am-3pm AKT (Alaska Time zone)

Primary Functions:Collaborates as a member of a Product Development Team in the analysis of system specific user stories and technical processes of product capabilities. An active collaborator with Product Development Team members in the development of products to achieve strategic business outcomes. We are looking for a strong Systems Analyst to join our team.

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a System Analyst
  • This is a technical Systems Analyst, not a Business Analyst
  • Be able to partner with BA’s and be able to write stories for the Software engineers to implement
  • Ability to problem solve, ask questions, find solutions
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and methodologies to include SCRUM and Kanban
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle, operating systems, tools to test software applications/systems
  • Understand systems, architecture and designOrganization and time management skills. Able to work as part of a large team & be a good team player
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing at a variety of levels to include business stakeholders, vendors, technical teams, customers, and management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and solve business problems by collaborating in the development and implementation of value driven business solutions
  2. Develops a working knowledge of credit union product capabilities
  3. Develops general knowledge of current and emerging technology solutions
  4. Identify and document user stories and specifications
  5. Document system architectures, data flows, and relationships to business processes
  6. Prioritize user stories to facilitate feature development
  7. Collaborate with Product Development Team members on test case documentation
  8. Collaborate with Product Development Team members on test case execution and acceptance
  9. Document and track user stories related to defects and resolution
  10. Participate in the coordination activites for implementation planning and execution
  11. Work closely with other analysts to collaborate in knowledge sharing activities
  12. Understand programming or how it all works together is ideal
  13. Perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results
